it should be a seasonal option button in between the create and delete button as mentioned before and it should be a benefit or gift of the holiday seasons like wintersday and halloween but not during rest of the year since the confusion w/ friends list and guildies.

or have it cost like 5-10 plat for every change and have a NPC name changer next to the profession changer in Balthazaar

/not signed...I see problems with it now with the /report feature...people could say something then change their name..and do it over and over again

+ think of a char name u like...if u want to change it u must not have chosen a good name

Ignorance is anything but bliss. Once again please read the thread before you speak. "I see problems with it now with the /report feature...people could say something then change their name" Yes we are quite aware of this, and this is exactly why a limit on this feature would need to be implemented, much like the current system on account names; a once per month system would easily meet the requirements for solving such a problem.

As previously mentioned there are issues with the tedious nature of name changes, but it's not something that a minuscule amount of coding could fix. Let's face it. It's not that Anet doesn't care about PvE players, or the issue in this thread. It's just that due to the nature and conditions associated with such an issue, the time and effort required has yet to be massed in order to address the issue properly. Yes there have been many viable solutions and ideas provided in this forum to address these issues, and for all we know Anet may have future plans to implement one of these; however at the time it just isn't practical - quite frankly they have bigger fish to fry. For now all we can do is make this issue metaphorically into a "bigger fish" - That means getting as many people as you can to sign this.

This is a 'iffy' thing if you could change anytime it wud cause people to scam then change however if there was a 1 per character or 2 time use it would work
